Direct Entry Stream
For applicants who hold an occupation on the Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL). Requires a full positive skills assessment and at least 3 years of relevant post-qualification work experience.

Transition from 482
Temporary Residence Transition (TRT)
For existing Subclass 482 or 457 visa holders who have worked full-time for their nominating employer in Australia for at least 2 years. No skills assessment required for most occupations.

Key Eligibility Criteria

Approved Employer Nomination: The employer must submit a formal nomination and pay the statutory Skilling Australians Fund (SAF) levy ($3,000 to $5,000).

Market Salary Rate (AMSR): The nominated role must offer terms and salary matching or exceeding the Australian Market Salary Rate and above TSMIT ($73,150+).

Age Limit Under 45: Applicants must be under 45 years old when lodging, unless specific legislative exemptions apply (e.g. academic researchers, medical practitioners in regional areas).
