Australia e-Visitor Visa (Subclass 651): Free Entry for Eligible EU Passport Holders
e-Visitor Visa - Subclass 651
The eVisitor Visa (Subclass 651) is a electronically stored visa that allows citizens of certain eligible countries to visit Australia for short-term stays. It is designed for tourism or business visitor purposes and is linked directly to the applicant’s passport, making it quick and convenient to apply.
-No Work Rights: Holders of this visa are not permitted to work in Australia. This includes offering services to businesses or promoting goods. However, unpaid volunteer work may be undertaken, provided no salary or wages are received.
-Linked to Passport: The eVisitor visa is electronically linked to the applicant’s passport number. If you obtain a new passport after your visa is granted, you must update your details through ImmiAccount to avoid travel issues.
-Replacing Previous Visas: If you are granted a new eVisitor visa while holding another valid eVisitor or similar visa, the new visa will override the previous one.
-Medical Costs: Visa holders are responsible for covering their own medical expenses while in Australia. Access to Medicare is only available if your home country has a reciprocal health care agreement with Australia.
