Provide supporting documents (skills, qualifications, English test, health insurance, etc.).
Wait for assessment and approval.
If successful, live and work in regional Australia on a 5-year visa, with the option to apply for permanent residency later.
The Subclass 494 visa is not points-tested. Instead, it is based on:
Employer nomination
Regional occupation eligibility
Meeting visa criteria
This makes it an excellent option for those who may not meet the 65-point threshold under the General Skilled Migration program.
Employer not being an approved sponsor.
Skills assessment delays or mismatched occupations.
Misunderstanding of “regional areas” (must be outside Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane).
Not meeting permanent residency requirements (working and living regionally for 3 years).
The Subclass 494 visa is a fantastic pathway for skilled workers to kickstart their career in regional Australia while gaining long-term residency benefits. With the right guidance, you can secure your place in Australia’s regional growth story.

My journey to bring my wife to Australia was far from easy. I initially applied through a student consultancy agency in Bangladesh, trusting their guidance completely. Unfortunately, that decision led to a visa refusal, and it was a very difficult time for us. After that, I consulted several other agencies, spending a lot of time and money, but most of them offered generic advice and seemed uncertain about the outcome. It felt like a 50/50 chance everywhere I went. Everything changed when I was referred to Bay Migration Solutions by my cousin. From my first consultation with Mr. Sumon, I felt a sense of clarity and confidence. He was honest, reassuring, and genuinely believed in my case. That gave me the trust I needed to move forward with them. Their team provided a detailed checklist and guided me step by step. They were quick to review documents, highly professional, and completely transparent throughout the process. I followed their instructions carefully, and they handled everything efficiently, including lodging the visa application. I’m incredibly grateful that, in the end, I received the outcome I had been hoping for. Thanks to the Almighty and the dedicated support from Bay Migration Solutions, our situation has completely turned around. I’m truly happy with their service and would highly recommend them to anyone seeking reliable and committed migration assistance.Posted on Habibur RahmanTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
